Thumbs down Eat right 4 your type

Bah humbug!

I don't have a lot to say, except that if I were to eat the way they recommend for my "type" I would probably be very, very, very sick within a week!!!!

I'm a blood type A which they say is supposed to eat low fat vegetarian. Gag me with a beansprout!!!

Honestly, my optimal meal -- the one I feel best and can go strong for hours with -- is a nicely marbled steak with mushrooms cooked in butter, asparagus and a glass of REAL milk.

Just to show you "science" isn't always RIGHT!

You get to eat meat and veggies, whereas they want me existing on grains. Barfola.

I fit the "o" type food almost to a "t"...

Congrats, you get to stay LC

oh, and that is the name of the book, btw. Dh's gramma was cleaning out all her old books and I picked up a few that looked interesting. No wonder she gave it away! If she ate for her "type," she'd probably be dead already :o

I've heard of that book. I'm also an O+ and always though good cause I do love meat. But you nkow I don't think I have ever known anyone that has started that diet and stuck to it. It seemed to be a passing fad.

I'm part of the small (2%) of the population with B- blood!
I remember reading a review (in a magazine) about this book. I just do not get the correlation between blood type and metabolism. While 2 siblings (or more) may share a blood type, they don't necessarily share the same body type and/or metabolism. And, therefore, couldn't possibly all benefit from the same "diet" as prescribed in the book.

Believe me, I've studied genetics more than the average bear, and this just doesn't make sense to me. I just kinda blew it off as someone trying to make their dime.

I was laughing about this with my best friend last night. She is also an A. She get so sick if she tries to eat low protein...

This next bit isn't funny: My sister went on a low fat/high carb diet like what he talks about for a while because someone recommended it for her Chrons...

Her chrons is so bad now that even eating moderately LC it is still out of control.

People who write books like this should... I don't know what, but something nasty
